Are you looking to enhance your creativity and sewing skills? Do you want to meet a wonderful group of creative people that share your love of sewing? Enroll in one of our sewing classes.  We have Sewing, Embroidery, and Quilting Classes for all experience levels.  Click on a Class for more information. Learn the fundamentals of using a sewing machine while making a simple throw pillow. No sewing experience is necessary. Sewing machines available or bring your own, start on the right foot.  We have many class sessions running for this popular class, to fit your schedule.  Be sure to sign up soon, because they fill fast.

Fee: $30 Plus Supplies

This class teaches the basics of understanding how to purchase a pattern for your body size, how to shorten or lengthen a pattern, read and understand pattern instructions and how to construct the garment. The pattern is a simple skirt and top and all students use the same pattern in class. Supplies are to be purchased at the time of the first class.

Fee: $100 Plus Supplies

In this class you will learn how to make a skirt with an invisible zipper application and a fitted waistband. The hem will be finished either by the machine blind stitch or by a hand slip stitch. The closure on the waistband will be a machine made buttonhole.

Fee: $100 Plus Supplies

This class will focus on sewing a garment with a lining. The student will purchase their own pattern and materials. Suggestions are a lined skirt or lined jacket. Prerequisite for this class is Intermediate Sewing.

No sewing experience is necessary. Sewing machines available or bring your own, start on the right foot.

Fee: $30 Plus Supplies

Ages 8 and up with an adult sewing partner.  Learn how to use your sewing machine together!  Make a pencil/cosmetic case with a zipper.  Machines available or bring your own.  Not just for girls, boys are always welcome.  3 TEAM LIMIT

Fee: $60 Plus Supplies

This beautiful quilt is a joy to stitch out. Quick to stitch out, the average time is about 30 minutes per block. This is a 10 month program, during which time you will work on the quilt center AND the optional border which sets the center on point. Embroidery machine is required with at least a 5” square embroidery area. You can make 5”, 6”,7”, 8” or 9” blocks depending on your embroidery machine.

Fee: $150 Plus Supplies

Leonie West has designed these amazing rulers and the ruler foot for your machine to make free motion quilting easy and precise. With the ruler foot and the Sampler Template Set 1 you can create a beautiful quilt one block at a time.

Three classes will get you started on the elements to make this quilt. Students are required purchase the Westalee Design Ruler Foot for their machine and the Sampler Template Set 1 along with the fabrics, batting and threads. You may also need the “Sew Steady” Table for your machine model and the free motion glider teflon sheet.

Private Lessons in Westbury

Private Lessons in Westbury

You will learn how to read instructions and yarn labels. Hands on instruction. Will start you on a scarf. All you will need is a crochet hook and a ball of yarn.

Sewing class supplies are not included in the course fee and must be purchased before the class begins. A list of supplies may be obtained at time of registration.

All classes begin on time and you are strongly encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to class starting time.

Because of a commitment to our teachers, a refund is only available if you cancel at least 2 weeks prior to class start. All “no-shows” forfeit class deposits and fees. Deposits are non-transferable.

We reserve the right to cancel any class that has not filled. To prevent course cancellations, you are advised to register as early as possible. In the event a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be contacted and given a choice of full refund or the substitution of another class.
