CLOTHING & GENERAL SEWING

Sewing Machine I:  Learn the fundamentals of using a sewing machine while making a simple throw pillow!  No Sewing experience is necessary. Sewing machines available or bring your own!  Start off on the right foot!

Basic Sewing - Teens Welcomed:  Sew an easy skirt and top while learning the fundamentals of fitting, pattern Lay-out, as well as basic construction techniques.  This class will start you in the correct direction for future classes. (Homework may be required to complete projects. Knowledge of machine operation is suggested.)

3 Sessions as follows, the first two sections will be 10:00 - 12:30 and

 Basic Sewing II:  Make a pair of jeans. In this class you will learn how to put in a fly sipper, waistband with belt carriers and a back yoke. Perfect continuation to the basic sewing class. (Must have taken the basic sewing class or have knowledge of pattern laying and construction.)

Basic Sewing III: We will make a Skirt. The skirt will have a high waist finished with facing, back darts, and center back zipper. Along with front pockets and a back hemline box pleat. (Must have taken the basic sewing class or have knowledge of pattern laying and construction.)

PJ Pants - Looking for a quick and fun project to do. Come bring some friends and join us and make a pair of PJ Pants. We will teach you how to cut the pattern out and put it together, while having lots of fun. Great a class for all ages.

 Quilted Jacket: We will be making a jacket that will be the perfect addition to any wardrobe. Great for the spring or fall. You will learn how to quilt while you put    together your jacket; it will also have great quilt square pockets.

Cute Purse: Make a purse to match your jacket or outfit. You will have a choice to make a Vera Bradley type quilted purse or a dressy clutch type purse.

Basic Serger: Have that serger & not sure how to use it. Come on down and we will show you how to thread it & some basic stitches & techniques used for construction.

EMBROIDERY/SPECIALTY TECHNIQUES

HAND SILK RIBBON #3- TUESDAY, APRIL 20th, 6-8:30PM

Learn more fabulous stitches for silk ribbon work while making this little embroidery scissor holder for your sewing basket.  It is the perfect complement to the other sewing accessories or just as it stands alone.

LITTLE SEWING ORGANIZER -Make this cute little sewing organizer for yourself or to give as a gift.  Learn embroidery placement and use decorative built in stitches in your embroidery machine to construct this little bag.  You'll be surprised how much it can hold.

IN THE HOOP - QUILT AS YOU GO!-SUNDAY, APRIL 25, MAY 2 & MAY 16TH 10:30AM-1:30PM

Embroidery machines can quilt.  Piece the blocks and stipple them right in the hoop, then join your finished blocks together to create a beautiful quilt.

RUCHING AND FIL TIRE TECHNIQUE PILLOW - SUNDAY, MAY 23 AND 30TH- 11AM-2PM- Learn these time honored techniques while making a beautiful embroidered pillow to accent your decor or to give as a gift.

USING YOUR FEET-JUNE 13TH, 11AM-3PM learn the uses of those accessory specialty feet to make your work easier while you create this decorator pillows.

SERGER LINGERIE BAG - TUESDAY, JUNE 8TH, 6-8:30PM

Learn to use your 4 thread overlock serger to create this beautiful and useful bag in a flash.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY - THE CORDED STOCKING - SUNDAY, JULY 11TH, 11AM - 3PM- Make someone a beautiful stocking using decorative stitches and

threads for embellishment. Personalize it with an embroidered name if you wish.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY - ENDLESS HOOP TABLE RUNNER - SUNDAYS, JULY 18TH AND 25TH, 11AM-2PM Have you an "endless hoop" and don't know how to use it.  This is the class for you.  Make this table runner or dresser scarf for the holiday season.

SILK RIBBON SILK BOX, TUESDAY, JULY 20 AND AUGUST 3, 6-8:30PM  Learn a few easy stitches with silk ribbon and then construct this magnificent little box for your little treasures.

INTRO TO CURVED PIECING - WINDING WAYS WITH A TWIST LAP THROW- TUESDAYS, AUGUST, 10TH ,31ST,AND SEPT. 7TH 6-8:30PM

This beautiful throw is completely done using a curved piecing technique.  Come learn about curves in this fun class.

Get out that very large hoop you own and learn how to join up designs larger than life.

4D SOFTWARE ELEMENTS (continued) - TUESDAYS, 6PM-8PM

Come join me to explore and create these beautiful designs to stitch out and create an embroidered floral wall hanging.  All you need is the Pfaff 4D Creative Suite software loaded on your laptop, the dongle unlocking device, and a mouse and mouse pad.

Class supplies are not included in the course fee and must be purchased before the class begins.  A list for supplies may be obtained at time of registration.  All classes begin on time and you are strongly encouraged that you arrive 15 minutes prior to class starting time.  A deposit of half is required to register for all classes $50 or higher.  All other classes must be paid in full at time of registration.  Because of a commitment to our teachers, a refund is only available if you cancel at least 2 weeks prior to class start.  All "no-shows" forfeit class deposits and fees.  Deposits are non-transferable.  We reserve the right to cancel any class that has not filled.  To prevent course cancellations, you are advised to register as early as possible.  In the event a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be contacted and given a choice of a full refund or the substitution of another class.  We also offer private sewing machine instruction, by appointment, given on your machine, any make or model, one-on-one.
